A driver is recovering in the hospital after her car slammed into the back of an 18-wheeler Friday morning.
Shreveport police say it happened just after 2 a.m. on North Market Street at Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. Police say the car rear-ended a 18-wheeler that was stopped at a light. The woman driving the car was taken to University Health. She is expected to be okay.
Traffic was flowing slowly for a few hours while crews cleared up the scene.
